Nepal: Kathmandu zoo

The zoo in Kathmandu was a delightful zoo - meant for the enjoyment of the local families.  One of the highlights for us was riding the elephant.  As the elephant is considered a sacred animal, our stroll around the zoo included many stops for people to touch the elephant in gestures of sacred blessings.

Obviously I didn't take this picture of me.  The dollhouse was made for my mother by her father.  I still have it and still have the wooden couch in the front center.
